In 1974 the Portland Trail Blazers selected Bernard Hardin as the 2nd pick in the 5th Round of the 1974 NBA draft (pick 74). Singer/songwriter Lobo was born as Roland Kent LaVoie on July 31, 1943 in Tallahassee, Florida. He appeared in 16 basketball games that one season for the Lobos and scored 86 total points.
